Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello – Trouble In Paradise?
Though Sofia Vergara and fiancé Joe Manganiello have decided not to tie the knot this summer as expected, that does not mean the wedding has fallen by the wayside, or that the relationship is in trouble. Sofia Vergara and her mate are simply too busy working and promoting their new films at this time to concentrate on matrimonial planning.
Sofia says Joe will be promoting Magic Mike XXL with Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Adam Rodriguez, which debuts on July 1, during the summer months. Although Vergara initially had her heart set on a summer wedding, she is understanding of Joe’s crazy schedule.
“We wanted to get married this summer, but Joe will be busy working and promoting Magic Mike 2.”
Joe Manganiello shares her disappointment, but the timing is just not right. He keeps a sense of humor, however, as the couple look forward to a wedding later in the year.
“I would love to get married this summer, but I’m going to be too busy promoting my male stripper movie!”
Don’t worry, Sofia Vergara, of Modern Family fame, will not be sitting at home twiddling her thumbs. Aside from her regular sitcom, Sofia has been working on a movie with gal pal Reese Witherspoon. Along with Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon, Hot Pursuit also stars Sean Penn and David Oyelowo. The movie centers around Sofia’s character, a criminal witness and drug dealer widow, who must be protected by police officer Reese Witherspoon. The comedy is set to debut on May 8 of this year.
The nuptials are expected to take place sometime later this year, when Vergara and Manganiello have more time for a luxurious wedding and relaxing honeymoon.
“We’re trying to figure it out right now, because he’s working during the summer, and I’m kind of promoting the movie that I have with Reese Witherspoon… It’s gonna be crazy because we want to do something really big. We have to; we tried to make a small list and it didn’t work out.”
Reese is pumped to be included in planning such an important event with her friend. Apparently, she and Sofia mesh well together on and off the camera.
“We’ve already talked about the wedding, we have a lot of plans. I gotta help, I’ve gotta be there for my girl! So I’m excited.”
