Elsa From ‘Frozen’ Arrested: Fun Photos Show Elsa In Cuffs For Causing Cold Weather
Elsa from Frozen was arrested again.
According to USA Today, this is the second time this week that “Elsa” has been taken into custody for bringing cold weather where it is not wanted. Of course, it is great to have a sense of humor when temperatures are so darn cold that smiling hurts, right?
“Hopefully Elsa will stay away, although it’s supposed to be cold tomorrow, so we may have to get her again,” said Hanahan, South Carolina, police chief Mike Cochran.
And this isn’t the first time that Elsa has been arrested, either. Officers in Kentucky didn’t appreciate a cold blast of weather last week, and posted a warrant for the Ice Queen’s arrest on Facebook.
Having Elsa from Frozen get arrested on behalf of the cold United States has become a “thing” on the internet. According to WPXI, several towns have joked about holding Elsa responsible for the bitter blast, many states seeing below normal temperatures for the month of February (hey Boston, how’s that -6 treating you?).
“Suspect is a blonde female last seen wearing a long blue dress and is known to burst into song ‘Let it Go!’ As you can see by the weather she is very dangerous,” read a post on the Harlan City Police Department’s Facebook page.

Aside from Elsa getting arrested for her Frozen antics, there have been other weather-related news stories that have received tons of attention this week. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Niagara Falls actually froze over thanks to -13 temps in the area. Photos of the icy waterfalls surfaced online, and are quite a sight to see, and have gone viral since they surfaced.
“The extreme cold temperatures are helping create the frozen phenomenon. When the weather is this cold, the tremendous amount of mist generated by the powerful waterfall turns everything around it into ice, building in ever-thickening layers that make for an incredible sight.”
