Bachelor Chris Soules will trade in roses for a pair of dancing shoes when he joins the cast of Dancing with the Stars next month. The week after Prince Farming hands out his final rose, he will start doing the two-step and the waltz on ABC, something that was all but confirmed by host Tom Bergeron during the big DWTS celebrity cast reveal on Tuesday morning.
Moments after the celebrities and their pro dance partners were revealed on Good Morning America this morning, DWTS host Tom Bergeron said he had one more cast member to add to the list, but he couldn’t “rose” early in the morning to appear on the show. His clever hint about the “rose” confirmed the rumors that have been circulating online for weeks that Chris would be dancing on the 10th anniversary season of the popular ballroom dance competition.
An even bigger surprise? Chris Soules’ pro-dance partner is Witney Carson. Reality Steve‘s Bachelor spoilers indicate that Chris’ final rose will go out to Whitney Bischoff, also a beautiful blonde. Although their names are spelled differently, it’s a big hint from ABC that Reality Steve’s prediction is correct.
The Bachelor season finale airs March 9, followed by the premiere of Dancing with the Stars on the following Monday night, March 16. Before Chris hands out his final rose and puts on his dancing shoes, the girls he rejected — including Kaitlyn Bristow who left after the overnight dates — will appear on the Bachelor: Women Tell All special on March 2. Expect to see Chris in the hot seat, as well as drama-creator Kelsey Poe and the girl fans thought was a frontrunner, Britt Nilsson.
Chris isn’t the first Bachelor to join Dancing with the Stars — Sean Lowe went from handing out roses to dancing in 2013. Bachelor Jason Mesnick’s final pick (who didn’t turn out to be his wife), Melissa Rycroft also danced on Seasons 8 and 15.
Who will join Chris Soules on the dance floor on Season 20 of Dancing with the Stars? The cast revealed on Good Morning America on Tuesday includes: Patti LaBelle, Riker Lynch, Charlotte McKinney, Michael Sam, Willow Shields, Rumer Willis, Noah Galloway, Suzanne Somers, Robert Herjavec, Redfoo, and Nastia Liukin.
Expect ABC to officially add Bachelor Chris Soules to the Dancing with the Stars cast list shortly after he hands out his final rose on March 9.
