Amber Portwood may be out of prison and doing well, but there are still some things in her life she is working to get together.
When faced with a downward spiral that involved drug abuse, the reality show star decided to go to prison in order to get clean. Prior to that, she signed over custody of her daughter, Leah, to her ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley. Now that she is doing better, she sees her daughter often, but will she ever have custody of her daughter back? Obviously, it is hard to say what the future will hold, but at the moment, Gary Shirley isn't ready to give up custody to Amber Portwood.
"It's gonna stay the way it is forever. It's already been 3 or 4 years since I've had custody."
"She's doing a lot better, she's not like that anymore. I have to say I'm very proud of Amber because of the difference now. I'm not saying she's a bad person, I'm not saying that at all. She was dealing with a lot."
"Domestic violence dude, ain't no joke. I should have never got hit. I should have left then. Watching this gets you emotional and you kinda feel the hate you had."
"I can just see myself completely going down hill. I can't watch Teen Mom 'cause I'm high the whole time. It wasn't happy moments of my life at all. It's like an alcoholic watching back in the day when they're drunk."
