Clint Eastwood looks every one of his 84 years. But that hasn’t stopped the actor/producer/director from relishing every moment of his life. So when it came time to choose a date for the Oscars, Clint ponied up for two dates. The focus, however, was on his new girlfriend Christina Sandera, reported Hello magazine.
Eastwood had a reason to celebrate at the Academy Awards. His film American Sniper was nominated for six awards, which made the cameras repeatedly focus on Clint cuddling Christina.
The new couple initially were seen browsing in stores in June. But the Academy Awards marked their first red carpet outing after they met at Eastwood’s famed Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel, California where Christina served as a hostess.
As for the 84-year-old director’s romantic history? It’s complicated. He cut his ties with Dina Eastwood in 2013 after the two were married for 17 years. Then came photographer Erica Tomlinson-Fisher. However, that coupling quickly became an un-coupling.
“She hasn’t been around in a while,” said a source. “He is with Christina and happy.”
Eastwood has even introduced Christina to some of his seven children. Both actor and model Scott Eastwood and actress Francesca Eastwood approve, said a source.
“Clint’s kids have all met Christina and like (her). The kids all say she is ‘normal’.”
Prior to marrying Dina, Clint was wed to Maggie Johnson and involved in lengthy relationships with Frances Fisher and Sondra Locke.
And although Christina was Clint’s main squeeze at the Academy Awards, honorable mention goes to Bradley Cooper, according to the New York Daily News.
Cooper’s date was the subject of considerable debate. So rather than offend someone, Bradley decided to do the polygamy version of Oscar escorts, taking his mom, Gloria Campano and his girlfriend Suki Waterhouse while sitting close to buddy Clint Eastwood.
“It’s crazy man, and the fact that I’m here with Clint Eastwood,” sighed the 40-year-old actor happily.
As the Inquisitr reported, Eastwood was nominated for producer of American Sniper along with Robert Lorenz, Andrew Lazar, Bradley Cooper, and Peter Morgan.
In addition, American Sniper earned Bradley Cooper a nomination for Actor in a Leading Role, as well as Adapted Screenplay, Film Editing, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing.
However, the movie was snubbed for the main categories, according to the Washington Times. Although it’s earned more than $300 million at the box office, it took home only one Oscar for sound editing.
