Jennifer Lopez & Robert Duvall’s Wife, Luciana Pedraza, Wore Similar Oscar Gowns
Apparently, Jennifer Lopez and Robert Duvall’s wife, Luciana Pedraza, had the same look in mind when they showed up to the 2015 Oscars on Sunday, February 22. Both of the stunning actresses showed up in similar, though not identical, gowns.
Both Lopez and Pedraza wore gowns with plunging necklines, voluminous tulle skirts, and sparkling details. Their Oscars red carpet styling was somewhat similar too, says Us Weekly. Both Lopez and Pedraza wore their hair in elegant updos with drop earrings.
Jennifer was presenting the award for Best Costume Design. The 45-year-old performer and actress wore an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown that showed off plenty of cleavage and featured intricate beading all over her bodice and layered tulle skirt. Jennifer accessorized her look with 20-carat platinum and diamond drop earrings, and matching platinum and diamond rings by Neil Lane, according to the source. She also cinched her gown with a skinny belt and carried a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.
Lopez spoke to Ryan Seacrest about her glittery gown on the Oscars red carpet. The dress featured intricate 3-D appliqués, which makes it slightly different from Pedraza’s beaded gown. Lopez said she knew she had to be extra cautious when walking in it.
“I saw this one and [then] it was pretty much this one. I always look around and keep my eye out but I kind of knew. I knew it wouldn’t be easy but I love a challenge.”
Pedraza wore a similar dress in a warm peach that had a similar design and elements. Her gown was designed by Jad Ghandor. The Argentine actress posed for photos on the red carpet with her husband of 10 years, Robert Duvall, who was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for The Judge.
It’s no doubt that Jennifer and Luciana will be on a special edition of “B**ch Stole My Look” on The Fashion Police, which will air Monday night on the E! Network. The hit fashion show will host a one-hour episode discussing the red carpet looks from the 2015 Oscars.
Entertainment Tonight says that this isn’t the first time that Lopez caused an unexpected fashion stir. At the 2015 Golden Globes, actor Jeremy Renner poked fun at her cleavage-baring Zuhair Murad gown. He joked that Lopez also got “the globes” at the awards show.
Luciana Duvall may have been less thrilled to be wearing an almost identical version of Jennifer Lopez’s gown for one of fashion’s biggest nights. No woman ever wants to be upstaged when it comes to beauty. J.Lo, on the other hand, may be glad that she wore a belt. It’s a close call for both women. Regardless of similar the gowns are, both ladies looked stunning on the red carpet.
