WWE News: Huge Angle Planned For Top-WWE Star At WWE Fastlane?

WWE is a few hours away from debuting the first-ever WWE Fastlane pay-per-view. On the card, WWE has Sting face-to-face with Triple H in the long-awaited encounter, which will likely set up their match at WrestleMania 31. This may be the first time Sting speaks on WWE TV. John Cena will face Rusev for the United States championship.

Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback will take on the Big Show, Seth Rollins and Kane. Daniel Bryan will encounter Roman Reigns and the winner will go onto WrestleMania 31 and face Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship. Among other matches, the card is shaping up to be a pretty underrated pay-per-view. The big news is about a man that isn’t in a high-profile match tonight.

Seth Rollins is the Money in the Bank winner and has yet to cash-in his prize. At the Royal Rumble, Rollins finally broke through the roof and became a top star in WWE. The last update on Rollins’ plans for WrestleMania 31 was for him to face Randy Orton. Since Orton’s status is up in the air, plans may have changed. According to F4WOnline.com, WWE Fastlane will be very important to Seth Rollins.

“One of the many goals for tonight’s WWE Fastlane pay-per-view is for Seth Rollins to come out looking like a major star for his WrestleMania 31 direction. As noted, Rollins will be teaming with Big Show and Kane to face Erick Rowan, Ryback and Dolph Ziggler.”

This can mean one of two things: Rollins may cash-in on Brock Lesnar tonight, if he’s in the building. That, or Rollins will effectively steal the show, like he did at the Royal Rumble. Not only that, but Rollins is engulfed in a feud with pop-culture icon and Daily Show host, Jon Stewart. The WWE might plan a feud with Stewart that could begin tonight.

Despite the scandal he was involved in a couple of weeks ago, Rollins is on the verge of becoming a main event player in WWE. Select wrestling fans already believe that he’s at the same level as John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar. That theory isn’t incorrect, because Rollins did wrestle Cena and Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. An opinion in the public sphere suggests Rollins was the best that night.

Tonight at WWE Fastlane, Rollins will get even bigger than he already is. It’s hard to imagine, due to the success he already has attained. However, the WWE wants Fastlane to impress, since the Elimination Chamber isn’t around anymore. With Rollins’ ascension and the encounter between Sting and Triple H, WWE Fastlane will exceed many WWE fans’ expectations.
