Niall Horan’s Rumored Girlfriend, Melissa Anne Whitelaw, Denies Dating One Direction Member
One Direction member Niall Horan’s rumored new girlfriend, Melissa Anne Whitelaw, has seemingly denied that they’re dating. A few days ago, a long message was posted to a Twitter account belonging to a Melissa Anne that denied the relationship.
“I don’t even know why I’m doing this but I’m having some problems and I don’t want any problems, please don’t mention my ex boyfriend on twitter or instagram again, I don’t owe explanations for anything I do to anyone but I read a lot of weird stuff! I saw the video and it’s old, we were drunk and we were joking, I’m not dating anyone! I’m accompanying niall on the australian tour because i’m from Australia and we’re good friends. It’s weird being on twitter and see ‘Niall and Melissa’ or anything, I’m not that kind of person. Anyways thank you! x.”
Some people left comments that questioned whether the Twitter account really belongs to the brunette Australian student rumored to be dating Niall. The account seems to be genuine, since it has been active for years and there are photos and messages posted involving Melissa’s mom and sister.
The video mentioned in the tweet may be a video that captured them kissing in a bar. Over Valentine’s Day weekend, a fan posted photos of Niall Horan seemingly kissing Melissa Anne Whitelaw in a bar. When questioned if Niall really did kiss the woman, the fan who posted the photos claimed that she saw it happen herself.
“Yes. I saw it and it was more than one time. They’re kissing in the photos, there’s a girls head in the way.”
Even if Niall really is dating this Australian student, he may not publicly admit it for fear over her safety. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, some fans of the One Direction member have been so infuriated that Melissa Anne Whitelaw may be dating him that they have posted death threats.
In an interview with Teen Now in February, 2014, Niall talked about waiting for the right woman.
“Being single doesn’t mean that you’re weak, it means you’re strong enough to wait for what you deserve.”
Niall Horan also described his perfect woman. He said that he likes “nice eyes” and that he “probably go[es] for brunettes more.”
