‘Haylor’ Song: Did Harry Styles Write ‘I Love You’ For Taylor Swift?

Singing duo Alex and Sierra may have hinted that Harry Styles wrote “I Love You” for ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. The two shot to superstardom when they won Season 3 of The X-Factor USA. The singing-songwriting duo is also a real-life couple, according to Entertainment News. They recently spoke with the celebrity gossip site to break the truth about the rumored “Haylor” song.

The one song that’s not written by the duo’s debut album, It’s About Us, is called “I Love You.” The song is credited by writers Johan Carlsson and Mick Greenberg. Many One Direction fans believe that Greenberg is Styles’ writing alias. The sweet song is about a guy who falls in love with a girl, but never tells her how he really feels about her. He makes her think that he doesn’t care about her, even though he does. One Direction fans have been wondering if “I Love You” was a ballad that Styles wrote about Swift. They’re holding onto the fact that “Haylor” still exists, not only in their hearts, but in Styles and Swift’s hearts as well.

Alex and Sierra quashed the rumors about who Mick Greenberg really is. The duo laughed when they were asked that question by Entertainment Tonight.

“We were told that Mick Greenberg wrote it. That’s what we were told, that’s all we know. It could be Shaq! We don’t know… Shaquille O’Neil might have written it.”

That means “Haylor” fans could feel a little hope knowing that Mick Greenberg is a mystery. That will continue the rumors that Harry could’ve written the song for Taylor. There are several lines in the song that makes One Direction fans think it references one of Taylor Swift’s songs from her Red album. The site gave some info about the song.

“An example? One line says ‘While we laid there on the soft warm ground for a week and thirteen days’ – a suspicious parallel to a line in Taylor’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ that reads ‘Now I’m lying on the cold, hard ground.’ It’s also famously known that Taylor’s favorite number is 13. Another line in the song that might be a giveaway? ‘I won’t trouble you no more.'”

Alex and Sierra hinted that Greenberg could be Styles, adding “Maybe Mick and Taylor are really good friends…Maybe Mick & Taylor had a fling!” The singing duo wouldn’t give any more information as to who Greenberg’s real identity is.

Harry recently opened up to We Love Pop magazine about his thoughts on love at first sight. The bad boy says it never happened to him.

“I wouldn’t say I could fall in love at first sight. I think for me, it’s more infatuation at first sight. You can see someone and I think, ‘she’s amazing’. If the right person was there, I’d go for it. I wouldn’t stay single purposefully. I can get quite soppy when it comes to girls, especially when I really like them.”

The Inquistr previously reported that Styles asked Nadine Leopold to move in with him, so maybe he’s found the real thing this time around. That news broke “Haylor” fans’ hearts across the world. Meanwhile, Leopold is wanting Swift to “go away” so she can stop referencing Styles in her songs and music videos.

Do you still hold out hope for “Haylor”? Do you think that Harry Styles wrote “I Love You” for Taylor Swift, or his current girlfriend Nadine Leopold?
