Maci Bookout Shares New Photo, Pregnant ‘Teen Mom’ Says She’s A ‘Baby Momma’
Maci Bookout shared a baby bump selfie with fans on Instagram on Friday night. Ahead of an appearance in New York, the pregnant Teen Mom star posted one of the first photos of her growing pregnancy belly.
On February 20, Bookout took to Instagram, where she shared the photo of herself in what appeared to be a maternity top, along with the caption, “#babymomma.”
Maci Bookout and her boyfriend, Taylor McKinney, announced they were expecting a child together in December. In an interview with In Touch Weekly, Bookout revealed her surprise in her baby news, explaining she had thought she was unable to have a child after being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
“I started having very strange symptoms, like my legs were very itchy and I had tenderness in my breasts. So we got a test and it said I was pregnant. I didn’t think that another pregnancy was possible. We still can’t believe it. It was a huge shock, but we are very excited.”
Although Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney want to get married eventually, Bookout revealed in the interview that she didn’t plan on rushing down the aisle before the child is born.
“Before I got pregnant, we talked heavily about marriage — and we still do, but I don’t want to be a pregnant bride. That would be way too stressful! Plus, I want to be able to have fun at my wedding.”
Also during the interview, Bookout said she was worried Teen Mom fans would judge her for getting pregnant out of wedlock for a second time.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bookout will soon return to MTV in Teen Mom OG. The series, which marks the fifth season of Teen Mom, will also include Catelynn Lowell, Amber Portwood, and Farrah Abraham, who had previously claimed she would not be back.
In Us Weekly‘s announcement of the series return, creator Lauren Dolgen spoke out, admitting that Abraham’s co-stars weren’t thrilled with the news of her return. Although the network initially planned to move forward with the show without Abraham, reportedly because of her adult endeavors (which include a sex tape, a line of sex toys, and two erotic novels), they later changed their mind, deciding the series was better off with four points of view.
