‘Undercover Boss’ Finale Spoilers, Renewal News: What Can Fans Expect?

The Season 6 finale of Undercover Boss airs Friday night on CBS and fans are anxious to see what is in store with this one. Those who love the show are also wondering if the long-running series will be back with another season later this year. What Undercover Boss spoilers and tidbits are available?

The Friday, February 20 episode will focus on a company called Vivint, Inc. Founder and CEO Todd Pedersen will be the one going undercover this time around to check out what’s going on at his residential security company.

A CBS Undercover Boss spoiler preview shows Pedersen showing what some fans would think would be a telltale disguise trying to do the job as his day-to-day employees do. He gets off to a pretty rough start by the looks of things, but it seems he wins everybody over as the episode continues.

This current season debuted in December 2014 and fans on the show’s Facebook page have been quite vocal about how they think these last few episodes have been. There have been some controversial episodes, but the show still has plenty of dedicated fans as well.

Despite some criticism, Variety noted that the network touted the show as one of its proven ratings winners as it announced the Season 6 schedule. Some wonder if it’s time to give up on the show, that perhaps it has run its course. From the looks of things though, that may be a bit premature.

Given that Friday night’s episode is the season finale, fans wonder if it has been renewed for Season 7 or canceled. It doesn’t look like CBS has made any formal announcements on this one quite yet. According to Zap2It, the show regularly wins its time slot, which many fans would see as a good sign leaning toward a renewal. Of course Friday’s episode is being touted as a season finale, not a series finale, so that is good news as well.

TVLine keeps a running renewal scorecard for the networks, and Undercover Boss is currently listed as a “too early to tell” show. Season 6 wasn’t announced by the network until mid-March 2014, so it seems likely fans will have to wait a few more weeks for any announcements regarding Season 7.

Will the fans tune in with enough force to the Season 6 finale airing on Friday, February 20 to propel CBS to renew Undercover Boss for Season 7 or will they go the cancellation route? For now, fans will have to stay tuned for news.
