Johnny Depp Reprises One Of His Most Popular Roles

Johnny Depp is ready to reprise one of his most popular roles yet again. Depp aka Captain Jack Sparrow will return to the big screen in the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Depp, who is filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales right now, is set to star in the popular Disney series along with Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites, Martin Klebba, Geoffrey Rush, and Kevin McNally.

Also possibly returning with Depp is Orlando Bloom, who starred in the first three films as Will Turner.

Bloom will reprise his role as Will Turner, and Turner’s relationship with his son (played by newcomer Brenton Thwaites) is rumored to loom large in the plot of Dead Men Tell No Tales,” states Variety.

Depp and his iconic character, Jack Sparrow, are “thrust into an all new adventure.”

So what kind of trouble will Depp get himself into in this film?

Movieweb provided the synopsis, explaining that “a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea… including him.”

So how is Depp’s Jack Sparrow supposed to escape because we know he will?

“Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.”

According to Variety, the film will be shot in multiple locations, including “Queensland and in the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast.”

Depp’s return to the film a fifth Pirates movie has got fans talking, and they are excited to see Depp in another Pirates movie.

Also looking forward to Captain Jack Sparrow’s return? You’ll just have to wait until July of 2017 before you watch Johnny Depp reprise his role as the pirate captain.
