Next ‘Bachelorette’ Britt Nilsson? Jimmy Kimmel Hints At ABC’s Decision
Will ABC announce that Britt Nilsson is the next Bachelorette after Chris Soules hands out his final rose on the Bachelor season finale? Jimmy Kimmel seems to think that may happen, or at least his wife does.
Earlier this week, Britt appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live via video chat (above) and talked about her emotional exit from the Bachelor. Fans saw Chris send Britt home in tears after he learned from Carly that she may have been lying about her fondness for his tiny hometown of Arlington, Iowa.
Jimmy seemed surprised that Chris send Britt home, noting that the two of them seemed to have great chemistry. He then mentioned that his wife and her friends were rooting for Britt, and that they are hopeful that she will be the next Bachelorette. That seems to be a bit of an endorsement from Jimmy Kimmel (or a big hint), especially because he’s been involved in the show this season. Who can forget the hilarious episode where he ended up in the hot tub with Chris and Kaitlyn?
Britt seemed quite pleased when Kimmel mentioned the Bachelorette, something that should not come as a surprise to those who think she may have come on the show just to score the role as ABC‘s leading lady. Judging from the applause from Kimmel’s audience during Britt’s video chat, most fans don’t care what she did on Chris’ season — they are excited that she might be picked to hand out roses.
During the video, Britt revealed that she will confront Chris at the Women Tell All event on March 2, asking him if he felt differently about her departure now that the show has aired. Chances are, he will be very diplomatic if he addresses her concerns, especially because it’s rumored that he is already engaged — he probably doesn’t want to jeopardize his relationship with his future bride.
Reality Steve has suggested that she is one of the top contenders to become the next Bachelorette, and host Chris Harrison seems to think so, too. In his blog on Yahoo, Harrison hinted that both both Britt and Kaitlyn are top picks, but he feels that Britt will have to redeem herself after “disrespecting Chris time and time again.”
Harrison plans to put Britt in the hot seat during the WTA so she can discuss the issues that led up to her departure on the Bachelor. It’s likely that if ABC gets a positive response to her appearance, they will ask her to become the next Bachelorette.
According to Heavy, Britt Nilsson lives in Los Angeles and is a waitress with aspirations to become a “successful actress.” Perhaps that’s why she wants to become the next Bachelorette?
