Bruce Jenner Started Deadly Wreck, Sources Say, Hit Brakes But Plowed Into Two Cars, Not Just One

Bruce Jenner apparently started the fatal wreck on a Malibu, California, highway on February 7, plowing his Cadillac Escalade SUV into not one vehicle as witnesses earlier reported — but two, according to sources who have seen a video taken from cameras mounted on a municipal bus that was near the scene.

But that video has not yet been officially analyzed, according to reports on Thursday, and the description comes only from unofficial and unnamed sources who spoke to media outlets in Los Angeles.

If the alleged evidence proves correct, Jenner reportedly could face vehicular manslaughter charges. But even that possibility is far from certain, if indeed witness accounts that a white Lexus in front of him on the highway came to a sudden and unexpected stop prove correct.

Unless, of course, investigators determine that Jenner was illegally tailgating the Lexus. The car was driven by Kim Howe, 69, a resident of a wealthy, gated community in Calabasas, California, where coincidentally two of the Kardashian sisters, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, were among her neighbors.

Bruce Jenner, as viewers of the reality television series Keeping Up With The Kardashians know, remains stepfather to the Kardashian daughters until his divorce from their mother is finalized in March.

According to a source who spoke to The Los Angeles Times newspaper — and, the paper says, to still images from the unreleased video viewed by its reporters — Jenner hit the brakes hard and attempted to swerve to the left when he saw the Lexus stopped in front of him. But it was too late.

He rammed into Howe’s Lexus, sending it spinning into the opposite lane, directly into the path of an oncoming Hummer H2 SUV. That vehicle was driven by Peter Milessi, 62, and was also carrying a 73-year-old female passenger.

The 73-year-old woman suffered a fractured spine when the Hummer plowed into the spinning Lexus that suddenly appeared in its lane.

The collision killed Howe, who suffered a severe chest injury.

But Jenner’s vehicle, according to the new version of events based on the sources accounts of what the bus video reveals, was not finished yet.

The Bruce Jenner driven Escalade, which was also towing an off-road vehicle — a factor that could have contributed to Jenner’s inability to stop his Cadillac — then rear-ended a Toyota Prius driven by Jessica Steindorf, 29.

Witnesses had previously said that Howe’s Lexus hit the Prius, but the new account of the accident says that Bruce Jenner hit both cars, and that is what started the fatal wreck. Jenner passed a sobriety test and maintained that he was not distracted by cell phone texting at the time of the crash.
