Taking Back Sunday Frontman Adam Lazzara Arrested For DWI [Breaking]

Taking Back Friday frontman Adam Lazzara was arrested for driving while impaired on Sunday. This news come out of Charlotte, North Carolina, where Adam currently resides. The alleged crime is “driving while impaired,” though there is no specification as to whether Adam was drinking under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Several reports say that Lazzara was pulled over for running a red light, which led to his apprehension and arrest. He was then charged with a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). According to Lambgoat, the DWI charge is a more serious offense than a DUI charge. There is no word on the maximum sentence that Lazzara faces if convicted.

Adam was released on $2,500 bond, according to Radio. He isn’t scheduled to be back in court until April 15, more than a week after the Taking Back Sunday tour ends in Florida. Adam’s band, Taking Back Sunday, will kick off its nearly two-week national tour on Wednesday, starting in the New Orleans’ Civic Theatre. It will begin in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Wednesday night, according to Hollywood.

Taking Back Friday was last part of Rio Fest 2013, according to an Inquisitr report. The lineup included Fall Out Boy, Blondie, and the newly-broken-up Blink 182. More than 60 acts were announced for this festival, which took place during September, 2013.

Unlike most music festivals, Riot City is a city-wide event that takes place in multiple venues to host a large number of acts like Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday. The show took place in Chicago’s Humboldt Park, which eclipsed the Riot Fest events of the past.

Fortunately for Lazzara, his DWI charge and court date won’t interfere with his recent tour. The Taking Back Sunday tour takes place during the dates of February 18 and April 4, 2015. For tickets and information, click the following link.
