Jon Bon Jovi Working On New Album, Already Written 12 Songs

Jon Bon Jovi has confirmed that he is currently working hard on a brand new album, even teasing that he has a dozen songs that he is putting the finishing touches to.

The legendary Jersey rocker made these remarks to People Magazine. They came during a rare acoustic performance that was took place in Manhattan’s Kenneth Cole store, which was being held as part of New York’s Fashion Week.

After being quizzed by the publication, Bon Jovi admitted that he had been “in the studio all day working on the new record.”

When pressed for further information on the album, the 52-year-old went on to explain that he had been “reading the paper” and had been inspired by the news. This has so far led him to compose a dozen songs, each of which he alluded hadn’t yet been completed.

Bon Jovi failed to provide any more information on the hotly anticipated record. And when NJ contacted the musician’s publicist for any more information on the album, none was provided.

Bon Jovi’s new album would be his first since 2013’s What Bout Now, which, despite the fact that it debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, was only met with an average reaction by fans and critics alike. However, that didn’t stop Bon Jovi’s 13th album from selling over 1.5 million copies across the world.

This was the last album to have featured Richie Sambora, who was the guitarist for the rock band for over thirty years. Sambora left the band soon after the album was released, citing personal issues for his departure.

Sambora is now working on his very own solo album, something that he confirmed during an interview with Ultimate Guitar just last month.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that he left the group in somewhat mysterious circumstances, Sambora admitted during the same discussion that being in the band was a really enjoyable experience.

“It’s just insane. It was an insane ride. Thirty years is a good run for anything. Keeping a band together for 30 years is not the easiest thing to do in the world, and we worked really hard at it.”

There’s every chance that this album could actually just be a solo record from Jon Bon Jovi. The guitarist’s last solo album was 1997’s Destination Anywhere, which was preceded by 1990’s Blaze Of Glory – Young Guns II.
