Nicki Minaj Tour Manager Killed: Stabbed To Death In Philadelphia Bar After Rehearsals [Breaking]

Nicki Minaj’s tour manager was killed after being stabbed in a bar fight during the early morning hours on Wednesday. A second Minaj team member was also a victim of the stabbing and is listed in critical condition at the hospital.

Nicki Minaj took to her official Twitter account and Instagram to post a tribute to her tour manager who was killed in an early morning stabbing in Philadelphia. Minaj claims that her tour manager, 29-year-old De’Von Pickett, was killed after suffering from stab wounds. A second tour team member, 27-year-old Eric Parker was also stabbed and is in critical condition at the local hospital.

On Instagram, Minaj called the stabbing a “senseless act of violence” and said that Eric is still at the hospital recovering. Minaj noted that both De’Von and Eric had just arrived in Philadelphia two days prior for her tour rehearsals.

“#Rp @myfabolouslife – these guys flew into Philly for my tour rehearsals 2 days ago and were both stabbed last night. #RIPDAYDAY condolences to your family. Unbelievable. Eric (on the right) is recovering. Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad.”

NBC Philadelphia reports that the bar fight spilled out into the streets around 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning after starting inside Che Bar & Grill along Stenton Avenue in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane neighborhood. Chief Inspector Scott Small says that it appears the argument began inside the bar between the two members of Nicki Minaj’s tour team and the perpetrator.

“We believe that both of the victims, as well as the perpetrator, were all inside of this bar and that’s when an argument started.”

Police currently do not have a suspect in custody and are following all leads. One individual in the bar said the altercation was over an employee who was recently fired. Police said they are investigating to find out if there was any truth to the angry former employee theory. Police did say that they have at least partial images of the altercation from street cameras and that the suspect drove away in a gray Buick LeSabre.

Nicki Minaj’s tour “The Pinkprint Tour” was scheduled to begin next month. No word if the tour will continue as planned with the recent death of the tour manager.
