‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Star Lisa Rinna Discusses Kim Richards, Addiction

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Lisa Rinna has strong feelings about the recent issues addressed on the show, namely Kim Richards alleged struggle to stay sober.

Last month, Richards showed up to Eileen Davidson’s poker night acting as she did a few years ago, when she was abusing alcohol. Right away, many members of the cast wondered whether she relapsed.

In a car ride to the party, Richards sat with Rinna and began acting a bit strange, which prompted Rinna to ask Richards if she had been drinking. Unfortunately for Rinna, her friendly concern was taken as a personal attack and Richards lashed out, cussing at Rinna and creating quite the uncomfortable car ride.

Since then, Rinna has been extremely worried about Richards.

On February 17, Rinna wrote the following in her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills blog.

“I am not a trained or paid professional in the field of addiction, though I am a compassionate person that has had more than her fair share of loved ones die from addiction, starting at age six. As a friend, I do feel it is my responsibility to offer my help, love, and guidance in any way that I can.”

While some have taken offense at Rinna’s straight-shooter ways, she’s simply a woman who has seen the destruction of addiction and wants to help. As she explained to fans, she’s seen many people die from addiction, and doesn’t want Richards to be taken by the disease. She also doesn’t want those around her to ignore the issue.

In the past, Brandi Glanville has seemed unconcerned with stepping in to help, but after a chat with her friend, Jennifer Gimenez, she may have had a change of heart.

“The conversation between Brandi and her friend Jennifer on the beach was a powerful one. She IS a trained addiction specialist, and she truly understands first-hand what an addict goes through and needs in order to be supported through sobriety. Kudos to Jennifer for speaking so candidly on the topic.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Richards spoke out in her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills blog, as well, telling fans she wished Rinna, and the rest of the cast, would talk about her less.

“I just don’t get it,” she wrote on February 17. “It’s getting to a point where I actually feel bad for them—I would hate talking about me all the time.”
