George Clooney And Amal Alamuddin Installing Panic Room In Home: Has Their Security Been Compromised?

George Clooney and his wife, Amal Alamuddin Clooney, are installing a panic room–a veritable fortress–in their 17th-century manor home in Berkshire, England, according to Us Weekly. After all, both are high-profile people. Of course, George has been a popular actor in both television and on the big screen and has been politically active.

Why the added security? An insider, as revealed in Us Weekly, stated the following, noting that the security is more for to make Clooney’s bride feel secure than to keep distance between him and his many adoring fans.

“Amal, 37, has high-profile clients in controversial cases. [She needs to protect her case files too.] She needs to be secure.”

According to the insider, the mansion is in a very private location, set away from the road in a remote, countryside locale. Of course, it’s luxurious. After all, it’s where the Clooneys stayed for the first two-week honeymoon period after their September weekend-long wedding celebration in Venice, Italy.

According to the New York Post, the couple is also making other renovations to their mansion, but George is apparently adamant that the panic room be as perfect as possible. A source told Us Weekly the following.

“It’ll be fireproof, bombproof, and attack-resistant.”

As was noted in the New York Post, panic rooms are secure locations within buildings that are meant to withstand home invasions or attacks.

It seems that Clooney’s apparent caring for his wife’s safety would put to rest some of the ongoing rumors of trouble in paradise. After all, as was reported in the Inquisitr, Amal and George had a very romantic Valentine’s Day.

George took Amal to one of his favorite dinner spots, Asanebo, and they were very cozy, with PDA, and they even were spotted kissing. They left the sushi restaurant holding hands and sported big, beaming smiles.

More evidence for the naysayers regarding their relationship is demonstrated by the many other activities they’ve shared. As was noted in the Inquisitr article, on February 1, the couple celebrated Amal’s 37th birthday at their home with close friends. And last week, they enjoyed a fun-filled vacation at Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, joined by their friends Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber, another high-profile couple.

Of course, they also have a busy schedule with their respective careers, too. Amal is set to visit the European Court of Human rights, representing Armenia, while George will star in the new Disney/Pixar movie Tomorrowland, set for release in May.

Do you think the addition of the panic room is another way George is demonstrating his love for his new bride?
