MacBook Pro To Star In Upcoming ‘Modern Family’ Episode

The MacBook Pro is the world’s most beloved laptop and it is about to get superstar icon status. The “Lost Connections” episode of Modern Family airs on February 25. According to The Verge, it all takes place on Apple‘s iconic powerful notebook.

“MacBooks and iPhones pop up in movies and TV so often that it’s nearly a trope unto itself, but on February 25th ABC’s Modern Family is going a step further. A new episode called ‘Connection Lost’ takes place entirely on the screen of a character’s laptop — and while it’s a fun new riff on the sitcom’s successful formula, it’s also one of the most glowing love letters to the Mac you’ll see this this side of an Apple keynote.”

In the episode, Claire Dunphy has a disagreement with her daughter, who hastily leaves. Throughout the episode, Claire uses multiple Mac apps to talk with her family in order to track Haley down. Modern Family is an iconic show, so it’s no surprise the show is using Apple’s iconic MacBook Pro. It’s a win for both parties.

It’s the perfect time to promote the MacBook Pro, which is scheduled to get an update very soon. PC Advisor speculates on some of the 2015 MacBook Pro features.

“The current Retina MacBook Pro models have Haswell processors, but Intel’s new Broadwell chips are imminent, so we expect to see new MacBook Pro models that utilise the more powerful and efficient processors this year. The Broadwell chips should mean that the new MacBook Pro models have better batter life [and] native support for 4K display technology.”

The Latino Post commented on the possibility of different versions of the MacBook Pro.

“Just like its predecessors, the 2015 MacBook Pro is expected to come in 13- and 15-inch versions… In particular, the earlier models packed diagonal measurements of 13.3 inches and 15.4 inches, respectively. Both have Retina Display.”

Although the upcoming MacBook Pro is certain to sell well, it does have competition from the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which some people consider more of a competitor to the MacBook Air. Air Herald is one of the sites that is predicting a new Surface Pro 4 arriving very soon that could attract some MacBook Pro customers.

“The Surface Pro 4 may be coming out sooner than many people initially thought. While Microsoft has yet to say anything about the new device, they have given some indication that they are getting ready to release the device. Microsoft has been dropping the Surface Pro 3 line by $100 nearly across the board.”

Will we see Scandal revolve an entire episode around the new Surface Pro? Despite the competition, the MacBook Pro will shine and like most Apple products, will produce long lines the day it is released.
