‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ Trailer To Appear In Front Of ‘The Age of Adeline’

With The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 opening in theaters this November, there’s been speculation as to when audiences will be able to see the first official trailer.

We now have an idea of its arrival, thanks to The Projection List. The website that specializes as an aggregator to available release information – including theatrical and direct-to-home releases, retail and trailer dates – recently noted that the trailer will arrive on April 24, 2015.

Mockingjay – Part 2 is the last film of The Hunger Games franchise, based on the trilogy written by Suzanne Collins. The trailer’s premiere will be attached to The Age of Adeline, starring Blake Lively and Harrison Ford. Both films come from studio Lionsgate.

News of the trailer’s arrival comes after the announcement that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will be released in Imax 3D.

The official press release had glowing comments from the film’s director, Francis Lawrence.

“Fans will now have the chance to see the film in any format they want, which is exciting; we recently saw the 3-D version of Mockingjay – Part 1 before its release in China, and the new level of immersion was really fantastic.”

Collectively, the three Hunger Games films have grossed approximately $2.285 billion worldwide. In the process, Jennifer Lawrence has gone from appearing in small independent films like The Poker House and Garden Party to picking up numerous accolades (including an Oscar for The Silver Linings Playbook), and has become one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood.

Leaving the audiences wanting more, the first half of Mockingjay ended in cliffhanger fashion to set up the final chapter, where heroine Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) rages against the machine, not in an effort to survive, but for a better future for all districts that comprise the nation of Panem.

Here is the story synopsis for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.

“With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off mission, using the unit from District 13 to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.”

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 opens in theaters on November 20, 2015, and its co-stars also include Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Natalie Dormer, Julianne Moore, Stanley Tucci, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
