Presidents’ Day Freebies And Deals: Find Bargains Galore During Three-Day Weekend

Presidents’ Day weekend is a big deal for shoppers who will be out in force looking for bargains on clothing, furniture, appliances, and perhaps a few free food deals along the way. Although the federal holiday is officially observed on February 16, most retailers have sales running throughout the three-day weekend.

While there aren’t as many freebies available this weekend as there are on Veteran’s Day or Black Friday, you can still snag a free cup of hot or iced coffee from Chick-fil-A (no purchase necessary) to keep you caffeinated while you shop. Need a dose of sugar with that cup of java? Download the Taco Bell app on your smartphone and get a free four-pack of Cinnabon Delights when you buy a Cinnabon Delights Coffee. Walk off the calories at one of 405 national parks — admission is free February 14–16.

Retail stores like Old Navy, GAP, Target, Kohl’s, and Macy’s are already starting to stock spring clothing, so Presidents’ Day weekend is a great time to score a deal on winter clothing. You may be sick of wearing boots, sweaters, and heavy coats, but with savings up to 80 percent off the original price, it’s a great time to stock up for next winter.

With tax refunds already making it into many taxpayers’ bank accounts, new furniture may be on the shopping list this weekend. Offers.com states that Presidents’ Day is a great time to buy a new mattress (as much as 70 percent off) and update the furniture for your home at retailers like Raymour & Flanagan, Overstock, JCPenney, and even Target.

Appliances are typically a good buy during the month of February, so take a peek at the Home Depot and Lowe’s ads if you are in the market for a new washing machine, stove, or refrigerator.
