Hollywood Photo Agency Attempting To Sell Severed Head Photo

An agency in Hollywood that typically brokers in paparazzi shots of movies stars, athletes and other notable figures are reportedly attempting to sell photos of the severed head that was found earlier in the week near the Hollywood sign.

In what is described as an eerily awkward moment at least one of the dogwalkers who found the head is posing with it and smiling in at least one of the photos.

According to gossip site Gawker the Hollywood agency offered to sell the website the photos for $5000, an offer Gawker turned down. Other sites said to have turned down the photo sales offer include RadarOnline, The Smoking Gun and the New York Post.

The photo agency reveals that the photos came from the mobile phone of a man who was walking along the trail, they says the photos were from:

“A guy on the trail who had a phone—the lady didn’t have a phone so she asked him to borrow his.”

Hollywood police acknowledge that selling the photos does not constitute a crime although they may ask to speak with the phone’s owner as part of their investigation.

Police investigating the severed head later found two hands and two feet in the area while they believe the body parts may be tied to a torso that was found near Tuscon last week.

You know if Gawker won’t touch a piece of website traffic generating content it can’t be very pleasant.

Do you think stopping to pose for photographs of a severed head is a little bit creepy?
