‘GTA V’ Online Heists DLC Update: Tsunami, Avalanche Codes, Release Date

Last month, Rockstar Games announced that the release date of Grand Theft Auto V for Windows PC will be delayed until March 24, as the developer would need extra time to polish the game and new updates.

Rockstar still appears to be holding true to the promise of March 24 as the release date, to the delight of gamers everywhere. The Rockstar game page apologized for the current delay and promised the result would be well worth the wait.

“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”

Sources have leaked that new environmental elements may be available for your playing pleasure. While gamers await the release date of the GTA 5 Online Heists DLC to finally arrive, a report claimed that the leaked source codes have information that unlocks elements in their heist operations that include environmental disasters like tsunami, avalanche, and more exciting weather features, which will add to the thrill of the game.

The first code, “SET_TSUNAMI_ENV,” apparently reveals that a tsunami can build up at a specific area on the map while in a Heist mission when used. The second code, “SET_AVALANCHE_ENV,” would create an avalanche in a specific area on the map in a Heist mission that could greatly heighten the difficulty and excitement of the game. These two codes for environmental elements are rumored to not be universally available. They are said to be only available for PS4 and Xbox One.

But never fear: besides the environmental elements, there appears to be four new missions added. These missions include the “Hostage Deal CnC Mission” that has been described as a hostage taking and saving mission. The “Prison Van Rescue CnC” is able to allow players get a van to rescue one of their gang members. Other missions may also be available, according to sources, including an interactive ability in The “Weapons Deal CnC Mission,” perhaps the most anticipated mission. This would allow the player to arrest a criminal, and if the criminal is successfully surrendered to law enforcement, the player could get some weapons from the cops in exchange for money.

According to crossmap.com, the release date of the GTA V: Xbox One and PS4 Online Heists DLC release date is confirmed to arrive weeks before the GTA V PC version will be launched on March 24, so stay tuned for developing updates.
