Johnny Depp Tops “Favorite Movie Star” List For Second Year In A Row


Johnny Depp is loved by his fans both male and female the world over, at least that’s the result of the 2012 Harris Interactive’s “Favorite Movie Star” poll which for the second year in a row named Depp as the most liked star.

In being once again named as the top performer Johnny Depp managed to beat out some of today’s biggest stars and a voice from the past who remains one of Hollywood’s most sought after directors.

Among those he beat includes actor/director Clint Eastwood who has had a string of successful directorial debuts over the last decade and who tied for second place in the poll with Denzel Washington. Washington however did manage to get the most votes from Democrats and Moderates.

Also featured on the list were Tom Hanks, John Wayne and the always present George Clooney who’s various relationship may have hurt his placement as a playboy philanderer. Clooney however did win the “mature” category which includes respondents 66-years and older.

On the female side the only female favorite was Sandra Bullock who replaces last years females in Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts (5th and 6th place in 2011).

Rounding out the top 10 were Harrison Ford, Will Smith and Adam Sandler.

In winning the top price Johnny Depp swept most of the female demographics when age and region were taken into consideration. The biggest surprise however might be that the American expat actually scored the highest among Republicans and Conservatives.
