The 32-year-old Irish singer first grabbed the music spotlight back in 2000 with the release of her hit debut single, “Gotta Tell You.”

Reports confirm that the song was a Top 10 hit in three countries – the United States, United Kingdom and Ireland.

Even though her success in the music business was relatively short, Mumba shifted towards the movie screen – starring in such films as The Time Machine starring Guy Pearce and Loftus Hall.

She reportedly retired from the music industry back in 2011, but was able to reignite her interest in music in 2013 by performing a number of gigs in Ireland.

Perhaps Samantha Mumba will find a new sense of inspiration to return to the recording studio and create new music after giving birth to her daughter in the near future.
