UFO Spotted In Apollo 15 Footage, Living Alien Ship On The Moon?

A highly unusual UFO has been spotted in footage from the Apollo 15 mission, and some UFO watchers are asserting that it may be evidence of an undocumented presence on Earth’s moon.

The unique UFO was spotted by YouTuber Streetcap1, who noticed it in an image from the 1971 mission, America’s fourth manned landing on the moon. Upon closer examination of the photo, which depicts the moon’s surface as Apollo 15 approaches it, Streetcap1 noted two distinctly different UFOs hovering in space over the lunar landscape.

The objects, indistinct until the image is magnified, bear no resemblance to the classic disk-shaped UFOs that permeate popular culture. UFO watcher Scott Waring, whose UFO Sightings Daily blog chronicles a number of lunar and earthbound incidents, postulated an unusual rationale for the strange objects.

“This UFO was found by Streetcap1 of Youtube and shows an odd shaped UFO in viewing distance from the Apollo 15 mission module. Although some UFOs are disks or balls in shape, not all aliens have craft that lacks personality. This one for example shows a lot of uneven areas, which leads me to believe that it was a biomechanics ship. A living ship.”

The UFOs are far from the first to be recorded in the vicinity of the space program, whether on the lunar surface or near the space station. UFO watchers have identified objects in other photos from Apollo missions, particularly Apollo 15, as similar formations appeared above the horizon in images taken from the surface of the moon during that mission. While Apollo 12 was on the moon, a photo was captured in which UFO watchers have detected a strange anomaly, similar to that depicted in the Apollo 15 photos.

Skeptics assert that there are numerous explanations available for the UFOs, including developing errors, photographic artifacts, and even something as benign as dust on a camera lens. Though UFOs have been spotted by astronauts since the Gemini program, many have been explained away as misidentifications of spacecraft debris or other well-understood objects. James Oberg, a former space engineer who specialized in NASA space shuttle operations, recently addressed the topic with the Huffington Post.

“Spacecraft-generated ‘dandruff’ has been seen since the very first human spaceflights, when the non-intuitive relative motions and impossible-to-judge distances in the earthly environment of outer space tricked observers into misinterpreting visual stimuli.”

Whatever the true cause of the unusual objects, observers are likely to find more UFOs in photos from Apollo 15 and other NASA missions in the future.
