‘Far Cry 4’ Owners Can Now Try Out The New PvP Mode From The Second DLC Release

The second DLC for Far Cry 4, entitled Overrun, is now available to download on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3. Ubisoft announced the release of the latest Far Cry 4 add-on from the game’s official website. While the DLC is out now across all console versions of the game, the developer confirmed that PC players will also be able to try out the new content staring Thursday, February 12.

The new DLC for Far Cry 4 is completely focused on expanding upon the player-versus-player experience of the popular adventure shooter. Those who purchase Overrun will gain access to a completely new PvP mode to play within Far Cry 4. Named after the add-on itself, the Overrun mode will have two teams of players fighting to control three different areas in order to win the match.

The newly released Far Cry 4 DLC also gives fans access to completely new maps, as well as a new vehicle that can be used within the Overrun PvP mode. Ubisoft released the following details to describe what player can expect to find with the new Far Cry 4 add-on.

“New PvP mode: Throughout the match, three designated locations will activate with only one location active at a time. Both factions compete to control the active zone and score points. The more team members a faction has in the zone at a time, the more points they score. Overrun plays in two rounds, and scores are totalled to determine the overall match winner.

Four new maps: Maps have been specifically crafted to support the tactical yet frenetic gameplay of Overrun. Each map offers a perfect balance of power between the Rakshasa and the Golden Path.

New vehicle: To help even the score, the Golden Path have brought another vehicle into the mix. The iconic dune buggy is now playable in this new PvP mode, giving the Golden Path a combination of speed and power to help dominate the fields of Overrun!”

Ubisoft also recently released a free title update for Far Cry 4, which gives players the ability to create custom maps for use within co-op games, as reported by the Inquisitr last week. Before this month’s update, the Far Cry 4 map editor only allowed users to build new single player maps.

Overrun is included as part of the Far Cry 4 season pass alongside four other DLC packs. Playstation Lifestyle reports that the next offering from the season pass will be the Valley of the Yetis. Gamers without the season pass can still purchase any of the Far Cry 4 DLC separately.
