The Bold and the Beautiful star Linsey Godfrey was injured recently, and fans have been quite worried about her. The injuries were serious enough to require surgery, and filming was shifted around to accommodate her need to be away for a bit. Now Linsey is returning to social media to share some updates with fans.

As was previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lindsey Godfrey was reportedly struck by a car as she was walking down the sidewalk in Los Angeles. Original reports indicated that she had been pinned under the car and that a bystander pulled her out as medics were called. She had injuries to both of her ankles and faced surgery, though her representative has said it is expected that Godfrey will make a full recovery.

Linsey took to her Twitter a few days after the incident to thank fans, sharing, “I just want to thank everyone for the outpouring love, support and well wishes! I truly appreciate your concern! I feel so lucky & grateful! I’m about to start a long road to recovery but I thank everyone for reaching out!”

Godfrey also posted a photo on Instagram showing her snuggling with her daughter Aleda shortly before heading into her surgery. Linsey says that Aleda gave her some pre-surgery snuggles and then fell asleep. Godfrey adds that after that, she’s ready for anything, and her daughter is the reason she works to stay strong and keep fighting.

Word after the initial February 2 accident was that The Bold and the Beautiful was rearranging filming to work around Linsey’s injuries. As fans know, the character of Caroline is integral to the show right now and fans don’t want to miss seeing her in these upcoming episodes.

As Soap Opera Digest notes, so far the show has not shared anything further regarding how they will work around Godfrey’s injuries going forward. Will the character of Caroline be written out for a bit? Will they temporarily recast the role? Will Linsey’s injuries be written into the show?
