How Are Teresa Giudice & Husband Joe Making Their Marriage Work Behind Bars?

Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, have their work cut out for them when it comes to making their marriage work as the Real Housewives of New Jersey star serves her 15-month prison term.

“There is hope for them. But they must work to keep the love alive,” former inmate Beatrice Codianni revealed to Radar Online on February 9.

“They cannot hug each other and they cannot hold each other. Teresa and Joe can keep the spark by phone calls, writing love letters and, of course, visits. During the visits, they are allowed one kiss coming in and one kiss leaving, but it must be a brief kiss. If they can get the tongue in, fine, but they will be told by the correctional officers, ‘That’s it!'”

Since Teresa Giudice entered prison on January 5, her husband Joe, 42, has visited just once. During the visit, the couple was joined by their daughters, Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4.

“It is such a hard thing when your husband comes to visit you while you are in jail. I think for Teresa and Joe their family is everything and they try to provide for their children. I am hoping that they will both have the strength to get through this.”

Teresa Giudice and her husband were sentenced for crimes of bank and wire fraud in October 2014. At the time, Giudice was sentenced to 15 months behind bars, while Joe was dealt a 41-month sentence, which he will begin when her prison term is complete.

As Giudice continues to serve her time, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star is reportedly working on a tell-all book. As the Inquisitr reported, the book will include details from her time in the slammer.

On January 14, a source told Radar Online the following.

“Teresa believes a book about how she coped with being in prison, and the obstacles she faced, would be a huge hit. Having already published several cookbooks, Teresa is touting this as a memoir that anyone could relate to. Teresa admires the way in which Martha Stewart handled her business after being released from prison, and would like to follow in that fashion.”

“She’d probably get anywhere between $200,000 to $1 million for a book,” Strategic Vision CEO David Johnson told Life & Style of Giudice’s expected paycheck, according to a report by Daily Mail Online. “She’ll be quite marketable.”

Teresa Giudice will be released from prison sometime in early 2016.
