Boyfriend Freshman Death: 19-Year-Old Charged In The Death Of His Girlfriend

The boyfriend of a freshman student has been charged in her death. According to Yahoo! News, Karlie Hall was found dead inside her dorm room at Millersville University in Pennsylvania, while her boyfriend Gregorio Orrostieta, 19, who was covered in blood, was seen performing CPR when authorities arrived at the scene.

According to the report, Orrostieta was originally charged with aggravated assault after he admitted to shoving Hall during an argument, causing her to fall and hit her head. He also admitted to hitting her in the face after she had fallen. After further investigation, Orrostieta has been charged with murder.

“Orrostieta had blood smeared on his face and a dried cut on his forehead. His shirt was ripped, exposing scratch marks on his chest, and he had blood on his hands and jeans,” the affidavit said.

It is unknown if the blood on Orrostieta’s body was his own or that of Hall’s, but based on the reports, it sounds like it was both. Police have found enough evidence, however, that links the teen to Hall’s death, and he will be facing consequences.

The boyfriend charged in the freshman’s death is being held on $1.5 million bail. According to My Fox New York, police believe that Hall and Orrostieta’s fight was very serious, and say that she “fought for her life.” Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman said that Hall “suffered a number of injuries on a number of parts of her body.” It was also reported that Hall was strangled though Orrostieta did not admit to strangling her.

It is unknown if the couple had a history of violence during their 11-month relationship. It is also unclear how Orrostieta and Hall met, as he is not a student at the same school.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Orrostieta is due in court on February 19. It is unknown if he has shown any signs of remorse since being taken into custody. Court proceedings will uncover more details stemming from that fateful night. What the two had been fighting over may also be revealed in the coming weeks.

Do you think Gregorio Orrostieta is responsible for Karlie Hall’s untimely death?
