Will Smith Raps A Classic Hit With Jimmy Fallon Using iPad App
Will Smith. If there is one thing that the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star and current A-list movie actor knows besides acting is rapping.
Jimmy Fallon. If there is one thing that the former Saturday Night Live actor and current Tonight Show host knows besides hosting and making people laugh, it’s going viral.
Therefore, it should not have been a surprise to anyone to see Will Smith join forces with Jimmy Fallon during a recent Tonight Show appearance prove three things.
- Will Smith is still a great rapper that knows how to rule the crowd.
- Jimmy Fallon knows how to effectively draw viral attention towards an iPad app.
- Will Smith and Jimmy Fallon need to do a buddy comedy together.
Okay, perhaps the third point is a little far-fetched, but the first two points are undeniably correct.
Using the iPad application “Loopy,” Will and Jimmy were able to quickly create a layered recording of a beat using nothing but their voices. This is the same app that was used by Jimmy Fallon when Billy Joel was featured as a guest on the Tonight Show and performed “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”

By the end of the “recording session,” it was obvious that the two had recreated the beat to the hit song “It Takes Two,” by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock.
Before long, Will and Jimmy were using their microphones to rap the words to the song. Shortly thereafter, Will Smith clearly put on his invisible rapper’s cap and got the crowd hyped and excited, as The Roots took over with the beat to accompany them.
The video was uploaded to the official YouTube channel for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and did not take very long to go viral at all.
Quite a few people have reacted to the viral video (which has been seen over 6.3 million times as of today) through their Twitter pages.

Keep in mind that this is not the first time that Jimmy Fallon has had a little assistance from Will Smith when it came to creating a viral video from the Tonight Show.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jimmy recreated and remixed the title sequence of the hit 90s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Fallon even featured cameo appearances from two of the show’s stars – DJ Jazzy Jeff and DWTS champion Alfonso Ribeiro.

It wasn’t that long ago that Will Smith also appeared on-stage with Jimmy Fallon for an “Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing” video that also went viral.
