Are Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder sneaking around behind Nikki Reed’s back? Ian and Nikki are newly engaged, as The Vampire Diaries star popped the question to his girlfriend of six months over the Christmas holidays. However, he may be spending a little too much time with his ex-girlfriend.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder may be keeping up the charade that they can’t stand each other on set to fool Nikki Reed, but really they’ve been seeing each other without her knowing.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Nina and Ian split in late 2013, but remained friends for months even though Dobrev was romantically linked to Liam Hemsworth, Orlando Bloom, and Derek Hough. However, when Somerhalder began dating Dobrev’s former friend, Twilight actress Nikki Reed, the relationship took a turn for the worse.
The Vampire Diaries actors reportedly hated working together and when Ian moved Nikki to Atlanta, Georgia, where the cast and crew live and film, she became even more upset. Meanwhile, Somerhalder decided to bring Reed to set, which really upset Dobrev as she has to act like she’s in a romantic relationship with Ian for the show.
Neither Ian and Nina have commented on the crazy amount of reports that they are engaged in a bitter feud on set, and that Nikki Reed and her recent engagement to Somerhalder has caused even more problems.
Hollywood Life reports that Nina Dobrev’s newest love interest is her Vampire Diaries co-star, Chris Wood, who plays the devilish Kai on the series. Nina and Chris have been posing for fun Instagram photos together, and sparking relationship rumors online among fans. Although Nina is not one to ever comment on her love life, reports suggest that there could already be a snag in the romance.
Wood has allegedly been becoming very friendly with Ian Somerhalder, which could be a problem for Nina Dobrev either way. If Nina is seeing Ian behind Nikki’s back, she wouldn’t want Chris to know about it, and if she actually does hate Ian she wouldn’t want her new boyfriend to become close with him for fear of Ian telling some serious secrets about their relationship. No girl wants to date a guy who knows too much about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend.
Since The Vampire Diaries has already been renewed for Season 6, it’s safe to say the Nina, Ian, and Nikki situation hasn’t had too much impact on the show just yet. However, things can always get worse.
