WWE News: WWE To Announce Newest Hall Of Fame Inductee On Monday’s ‘RAW’ — Who Will It Be?

WWE has announced, via their website, that they’re planning on revealing the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame on this Monday’s RAW. They didn’t give any specific clues, and as of right now, unlike “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Arnold Schwarzenegger, WWE has not leaked the name of the newest Hall of Fame inductee to TMZ.

“This as-yet-unnamed WWE Legend will join ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage and celebrity inductee Arnold Schwarzenegger in this year’s elite group of icons, to be honored at the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony the night before ‘WrestleMania 31.’ Will this 2015 WWE Hall of Famer be from WWE’s Attitude Era? Is it a groundbreaking WWE Diva? Or is it perhaps a fan-favorite competitor from ECW, WCW or another classic promotion?”

There have been a lot of rumors that WWE will be inducting Ray “The Crippler” Stevens into the Hall of Fame, and that he’ll be announced on this Monday’s RAW as the newest inductee. WWE Hall of Famer and Stevens’ former tag-team partner Pat Patterson has been really pushing for Stevens to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, as WrestleMania will be taking place in northern California, which is where Stevens reached the height of his popularity.

Stevens — who passed away on May 5, 1996 — would be the second inductee into this year’s Hall of Fame who is no longer with us, and WWE doesn’t like to induct multiple former stars who have passed away in the same year, so that could hurt Stevens’ chances of getting in.

There are also rumors that WWE could be looking to induct Sting into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, but due to the fact that “Macho Man” Randy Savage is already being presented as the headline act, it’s unlikely that Sting will make it in this year.

The Undertaker’s name has been thrown around as a possible inductee, but WWE is likely saving him for next year, as WrestleMania will be taking place in his home state of Texas.

Last but not least, the Road Dogg and Billy Gunn — aka the New Age Outlaws — are candidates for this year’s Hall of Fame, and likely could be the next inductees announced. WWE does want to induct the entire D-Generation X faction into the Hall of Fame, but they could be saving that for a future Hall of Fame ceremony, and they’ll likely just induct Road Dogg and Billy Gunn this year.
