‘The Vampire Diaries’ Spoilers: Extended Look At Steven R. McQueen’s Exit Released

The Vampire Diaries will see another member of the regular cast depart the series on the next episode, The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 14. The episode, titled “Stay,” will see the departure of Jeremy Gilbert from the CW series.

Steven R. McQueen has been a part of the series from the beginning, and fans have seen the character grow up from an awkward troubled teenager to a hunter and a man. Fans have known that Jeremy Gilbert would depart Mystic Falls once again, but this time he is leaving the supernatural town and never coming back.

His departure will not be due to death this time either.

Jeremy Gilbert has died before, and he was missing for a few episodes. However, Bonnie Bennett brought his character back to life in a witchy fashion. This time around, it is Bonnie who needs saving, and Jeremy did manage to save her life on the last episode. Bonnie is still trapped in the past, and Jeremy will say good-bye to Mystic Falls on this week’s episode.

Does this mean that Bonnie and Jeremy will not find their own happily ever after? That is likely, but it is possible that Bonnie will return to town before he leaves for good. She did see Damon’s message at the end of the last episode, after all.

Spoilers Guide shared an extended one-minute-long trailer for “Stay” on Saturday. Jeremy Gilbert and his transition from boy to man are the focus of this extended preview for the Vampire Diaries episode. The series is preparing fans for an emotional good-bye.

According to Wetpaint Entertainment, Paul Wesley did speak about McQueen’s exit in a recent interview.

“It’s weird. We’ve gone through this before, but certainly not in Season 6. I love Steven. He’s such a sweet and nice and kind kid. Of course it’s sad, you know, but he’s a young actor, we’re in Season 6 and I’m excited to see what he does next.”

What is coming up next for Steven R. McQueen? There are rumors that McQueen has been cast as Nightwing in the new Teen Titans series heading to TNT. McQueen has not been silent about his desire to play the character on social media, according to Classicalite. He has posted several references to the character on Instagram and Twitter since 2013.

No matter what McQueen does next, fans of The Vampire Diaries will miss Jeremy Gilbert. Fans have expressed their feelings about McQueen’s exit on Twitter.
