The Brady Brunch's Barry Williams is finding himself in hot water after making insensitive comments about Bruce Jenner. As we know, Jenner is transitioning into a woman, something that the Olympian is reportedly going to open up to Diane Sawyer about in the coming days. That said, Williams made an odd remark about Bruce Jenner, and even poked fun at the media circus around his transition.
During an interview with HuffPost he joked that "he might consider going transgender" just so he can get some publicity for his own reality show.
The snafu happened when Barry Williams was asked by Ricky Camilleri about his custody battle with his ex-partner. Instead of answering that question, Williams decided to dodge it and bring up Bruce Jenner to stay out of gossip. Unfortunately for Barry, that has backfired because of his comments about Jenner.
"We don't have time for all of that rigamarole and sorting it out. I want to find out if Bruce Jenner is going to become a woman or not."

"That guy is committed. He is committed to promoting himself. And I'm thinking, maybe, I don't know, I could say -- I'm just saying, if this thing doesn't work, and the series isn't doing as well as I want, I'm going transgender."The HuffPost host countered that transitioning might be a "difficult emotional process." The actor, unfazed, told the host, "I'm an actor, I can handle it."

The network, Great American Country, says the show will "follow Williams as he creates and promotes his stage show, gets to know the locals and attempts to make Branson his home."
"Along the way he'll take cues from fellow Branson entertainers like The Haygoods family band, host his former TV costars and do just about anything he can to drum up an audience."Let's hope Barry Williams doesn't sabotage himself on this show like he almost did during that HuffPost interview.
