Channing Tatum’s New Movie Releases ‘Magic Mike XXL Vs. ‘Jupiter Ascending,’ Which Will Rate Higher?

While Jupiter Ascending was today and Magic Mike XXL will be released on July 1, 2015, fans are looking forward to the release of Magic Mike, the same may or not be true of Jupiter Ascending. Channing Tatum is however, expected to make a big impact in both roles.

In Magic Mike XXL Channing Tatum makes his big return as stripper Magic Mike. The trailer to the movie was released on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Wednesday February, 4. The opening scene shows Tatum welding along to the tune of “Pony.” There are also some great chair moves shown by Tatum. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Tatum is asked how it was to work with Stephen, “tWitch” Boss. Tatum replied with “we do have to dance together…in thongs.”

The original cast will be returning, including, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer and Gabriel Iglesias. The obviously noticeable missing figure, is Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey. How they fit McConaughey’s role into leaving the movie is something that will have to be seen. Tatum carries most of the film on his shoulders. The one thing that can be said about the film, according to CNN as quoted below.

“Is that the viewers can expect more partying, fast cars and sexual entanglements as seen in the first installment.”

Jupiter Ascending has Channing playing the role of Caine Wise, a genetically engineered human whose genes were somehow spliced with a werewolf. Lead actress is Mila Kunis portraying Jupiter Jones, an exact genetic replica of a long dead alien matriarch of the universe, who also happened to own the universe. When Jupiter’s’ existence becomes known, the queens evil offspring begin chasing Jupiter and Channing’s character Caine is constantly following her around trying to rescue her.

According to the Economist as stated below.

“Jupiter is not what you would call an inspiring role model, but, in a way, you can understand her attitude. Like her, the viewer is zapped into a dazzling, fast-paced interstellar blockbuster, but it’s all so head-achingly silly that you just want to get back to reality.

In an article with the Inquisitr fans looking forward to the film will be surprised to know that it has been released six weeks earlier then the original date. Channing will now going head to head with Jeff Bridges in the Universal movie The Seventh Son.

So, if you want to see Channing Tatum chase aliens around the universe, or watch him steam up the screen as a stripper, you have a few choices in the upcoming months to watch him either make it or break it at the box office.
