‘Real Housewives’ Couple Teresa And Joe Giudice: Is Their Marriage Doomed?

Real Housewives couple Teresa and Joe Giudice are reportedly doomed.

According to a new interview with Beatrice Codianni, a former inmate at the federal correctional institute in Danbury, Connecticut, where Teresa is serving a 15-month sentence, the pair’s marriage could be in jeopardy.

“Marriages most always break up when one partner is incarcerated,” Codianni revealed to Radar Online on February 5. “People just want to move on with their lives.”

“Marriage behind bars is exceptionally difficult because you are always worrying if your spouse is going to leave you. It is also hard for so many other reasons. If Joe says he is going to come and visit and he doesn’t come, she might worry that he has found someone else.”

Although Joe brought his and Teresa’s four daughters, Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 4, to the facility last month, he’s only visited his wife once since she entered prison one month ago.

Because Joe has a lot on his shoulders with Teresa behind bars, no one expects him to travel out of state every weekend. However, one would have assumed he’d want to see his Real Housewives star spouse more than just once per month.

“A lot of times, and this is the sad part, the women will take the weight of the crime for their men and the men because the men will tell them ‘I’ll get a lot more years than you.’ The women are gullible and the men will promise them, ‘Oh baby, I will come and visit you. I will send you money for the commissary. When you get out we will ride off into the sunset.’ However, that doesn’t end up happening.”

In October, the Real Housewives couple were sentenced for crimes of bank and wire fraud, which were reportedly committed in the last several years leading up to their July 2013 indictment.

“Some people are very faithful. It depends on the couple and the person. I think that for Teresa and Joe, their family is everything and their primary purpose is providing for their children. I am hoping that they will both have the strength to get through this.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Teresa is said to be writing a tell-all book about her time behind bars.

“Teresa believes a book about how she coped with being in prison, and the obstacles she faced, would be a huge hit,” a source revealed to Radar Online. “Having already published several cookbooks, Teresa is touting this as a memoir that anyone could relate to. Teresa admires the way in which Martha Stewart handled her business after being released from prison, and would like to follow in that fashion.”

When Real Housewives’ Teresa completes her 15-month prison term, husband Joe will begin serving a 41-month term.
