WWE News: Backstage Reaction To Triple H’s Comments On CM Punk, Was He Lying?

Triple H appeared on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s podcast, the Stone Cold Podcast, and was able to answer the toughest questions from the Texas Rattlesnake. Those that have the WWE Network definitely lucked out after watching the first live podcast with Vince McMahon. Then, the WWE Universe gets to see Triple H challenge topics like kayfabe being dead or if Chyna should be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Near the end of the podcast, Stone Cold Steve Austin asked Triple H about the saga of CM Punk with the WWE. It was a surprising question, because the majority of the WWE fan base thought the topic of Punk was irrelevant since he’s in the UFC now. That’s one of the big topics coming out of the Stone Cold Podcast.

In response to the CM Punk-related question on the WWE Network, Triple H went on to say that there is no “beef” with Punk on WWE’s end. He also said that he wish it didn’t get to this point. According to F4WOnline.com, people in the back think he was stretching the truth a tiny bit.

Regarding Triple H‘s comments on the live Steve Austininterview about having no beef or issues with CM Punk, most people within WWE that are talking do not believe he was telling the truth.

It came as a surprise that a higher-up like Triple H talked about how RAW should go back to 2 hours and most people in the company agree with that.

On a related note, Triple H mentioned during his interview with Michael Cole today that he heard his interview with Austin had 40% more viewers than Vince McMahon‘s interview with Austin.

To say that there is no “beef” with CM Punk on WWE’s end is a huge statement to back up. On an episode of Smackdown before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan made their return to WWE television. Daniel Bryan welcomed the three-frustrated WWE superstars. Ziggler took the mic and went on to say that he’d rather fight for what he wants than complain on a podcast.

Clearly, that was a shot at CM Punk, who hasn’t made an attempt to mention WWE since his podcast with Colt Cabana that went viral. In response to the subtle shot at the former-WWE champion, Punk went to Twitter to relent his frustration.

Whether Triple H was telling the truth or embellishing the real situation, he did a great job of answering the question. Stone Cold never holds back in an interview, especially live on the WWE Network. What does everyone else think of the reaction Triple H had?
