Rocco Siffredi: Wife Of Legendary Porn Star Explains How They Told Their Kids About His Work

Rocco Siffredi spent nearly 30 years in porn and appeared in more than 1,300 films, but to his wife, he’s just the romantic man who swept her off her feet.

Siffredi is appearing on the Italian program Isola dei Famosi 2015 (Island of the Famous), and this week his wife, Barbara D’Urso, opened up about balancing his work in porn and their family life. D’Urso is a former model and, in 1990, was crowned Miss Hungary.

She said the two fell in love quickly after meeting more than 20 years ago.

“I’ve been modeling for a few years because then I met my husband and I left the job,” D’Urso said.

“I met him in Cannes, where I had gone for a job. He had seen my polaroid agency, has fallen in love immediately and did everything to know me. It was 1993.”

After a short time together, Rocco asked Barbara to marry him, and within a year they were wed.

D’Urso admitted that his work in porn made her uneasy at first.

“At first I was jealous, because I did not know his world, his work,” she said.

“Then when I realized, there were problems. The problem was more for him at the beginning, because it was difficult to do that kind of work with women, being in love with another. But then things got better for him.”

The couple went on to have two kids, Lorenzo and Leonardo. As they grew older, there came a moment when Rocco and Barbara decided to tell the kids about dad’s career in porn.

“Around 6-7 years I explained to my children what was the father,” Barbara D’Urso explained.

“They started to understand something when we went around and everyone recognized him. We then explained to the children that work was the father, with some detail, then as they grew everything was clearer.”

Luckily, the family lived in Hungary, where televisions were not common, and Rocco Siffredi was not a well-known name, she added.

“Never have been teased by other children,” she said.

“We were lucky in that respect, because we live in Hungary and there do not do television, so do not know us all, only those who watch that kind of movie. And then it was easy because they are two males, for them indeed the father is a myth. [sic]”

Despite the difficulties of a job in porn, Barbara D’Urso said she loves Rocco Siffredi, saying she loves “his sincerity, his tenderness.” The full interview (in Italian) can be found here.
