Lady Gaga Explains Why She Hung Up On Paul McCartney

Lady Gaga has definitely had her fair share of close encounters and recording sessions with music legends.

For instance, not many people can say that they have recorded song after song with the legendary Tony Bennett.

The list of people that have been able to work one-on-one with Paul McCartney might be just as short – if not shorter. However, Lady Gaga is featured on that list as well.

In a recent post to her official Instagram page, Lady Gaga shared a picture of the two of them together in a recording studio.

In the caption, the Born This Way singer talks about the time when she was called on the phone by Paul McCartney and how she reacted.

“Always a good time with my buddy. I’ll never forget when he called me last year to work and I hung up the phone cuz I thought it was a prank!”

Lady Gaga did not reveal very much about what she and the legendary Beatles singer were doing together in the recording studio.

However, based on a different Instagram post, it appears to be part of a “secret project” that Paul McCartney has been putting together.

“Had a beautiful session with Sir Paul McCartney and friends. Working on one of his many secret projects! Killer musicians, vibe, and lots of laughs.”

Even with all of the fame and international exposure that Lady Gaga has been able to achieve for herself in recent years, it is at least a little interesting to know that she still gets starstruck every now and then.

There are not very many people that wouldn’t think Paul McCartney asking to work with them was a prank call – at least at first.

However, McCartney must have been able to laugh off the fact that Lady Gaga hung up on him, especially since she feels comfortable with now referring to him as her “buddy.”

Then again, McCartney has been known for working with some of the most talented singers and musicians over the years, including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash and also Tony Bennett.

Recently, McCartney made headlines by working alongside Kanye West on the song “Only One” – another one of his “secret projects” that remained undetected and undiscovered until the song was released online.
