‘Star Wars’ Humble Bundle Is Strong With The Discount

A new Humble Bundle was released Tuesday that should immediately appeal to fans of classic Star Wars games. PC gamers can pick up to nine classic titles that include Knights of the Old Republic and Battlefront II from the franchise for as little as $1 for three, or up to $12 for all.

The Star Wars Humble Bundle comes in three different tiers that come with three games each. You can choose how much to pay to receive three, six, nine, or more titles. You’ve got until February 17 to decide.

The first tier can be purchased for a minimum of $1 and comes with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Dark Forces.

The second tier starts at $12 and adds Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Pack, The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition, and The Force Unleashed II to the first tier.

The final tier comes with Star Wars: Battlefront II, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, and Republic Commando. More games will be added to this bundle later. You have to pay more than the average purchase price to get the games in this third tier though, and it is rising slowly. At the time this article was written, the average sat at $11.05.

Purchasing this Humble Bundle will give you a Windows Steam key for each of the games that are bought. Proceeds from the sale of the games are split between the developers and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. You can decide how much goes to each.

If you do purchase the tier that comes with Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords, it is suggested that you download The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod from ModDB. The game was originally released with a host of bugs and glitches that dragged down an otherwise solid role-playing adventure. This mod was created by fans of the game after the developer abandoned support to fix those bugs and made it an enjoyable experience.

Those that are interested in other classic Star Wars games should check out GOG.com. Disney re-released a number of classic LucasArts titles that are not available on Steam. The available titles consist of X-Wing, Tie Fighter, X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter, Rogue Squadron 3D, Rebellion, and much more. All of these titles are available, plus some that are in the Humble Bundle are going for $9.99 or less.
