Amidst Rumors Of Death, The Tragic Life Of Bobbi Kristina Brown

We’re hearing an update on the “possible,” “inevitable,” or “death by brain criteria” of Bobbi Kristina Brown every time we turn on a television or read a news article. While proving the authenticity of these reports is difficult, it’s perhaps more difficult to reflect back upon the 21 years that brought Bobbi Kristina to where she is (or isn’t.)

The child of a super-couple — the bad boy Bobby Brown and the pop queen Whitney Houston — Bobbi was thrust in the spotlight from the day she was born. We don’t know definitively why Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bathtub, eerily like her mother was three years ago. We do know that Bobbi has had an atypical, what some may deem difficult, life. There have been signs for a long time that things were not well with Bobbi Kristina, particularly following the death of her iconic mother. The day after Houston died, Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the hospital with symptoms of an anxiety attack.

The years that have followed have been dark. Last July, according to the Daily Beast, a photo of Bobbi Kristina doing drugs showed up on Instagram, which she later denied posting. The photo showed a person who looked like Bobbi Kristina lighting up what appeared to be a bong. While the image was disturbing, the caption was even more frightening.

“This picture may be inappropriate but I want to make a connection with you all. Don’t worry this picture isn’t recent just hear me out. Do you know what I feel? I feel strange that I can’t feel any pain anymore. I don’t take any drugs as of recently. Things just happened. But then there is some situation that force me to do things and the impact I’ll feel pain. I did and I do. I was hurt. People kinda expect more from me. But I can’t. I have lost my sense. It just happened. Then here we go again I’m in the same pain. I’m hurt. I’m trying to. I really do. But I know that I’m hurt and in pain but I can feel it but I don’t know what it is. What do I really do? God, Help me ignore and rebuke what these demons are saying, in Jesus Name. Amen.”

While the message might seem rambling and cryptic, it is clear Bobbi Kristina was hurting. Bobbi Kristina starred alongside other members of the Brown/ Houston family in the poorly received reality series Houstons: On Our Own, which piqued some of the public’s interest in the family following Whitney Houston’s death. During that show, Bobbi Kristina was frequently seen drinking on camera, then just nineteen years old.

Rumors of drug and alcohol abuse aren’t the only plagues of Bobbi Kristina Brown. She infamously married Nick Gordon, who was raised alongside her, in 2013, for which the star was accused of incest. Bobbi was six and Nick was nine when her family took him in. In 2014, the couple was evicted from their Georgia apartment after neighbors filed multiple noise complaints, which included “partying until 5 a.m. on a weekday.”

Sadly, just prior to her injury, she tweeted a horoscope that seemed to resonate with her. The tweet was dated Jan. 29, and was a horoscope of her astrological sign, Pisces.

“#Pisces have a hard time accepting reality. Once they do realize it, it hits them like a ton of bricks.”
