‘Real Housewives’ Star Kyle Richards Claims Brandi Glanville Is Using Kim To Deflect From Her Own Issues

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards recently spoke out about the ongoing tension between herself and Brandi Glanville, and the strain it has put on her relationship with her sister, Kim Richards.

In a February 3 interview with Real Mr. Housewife, Richards revealed her thoughts on poker night and explain how it impacted her and Kim’s relationship.

“Starting at Eileen’s that night, everything kind of took off and started going crazy from that moment on. Obviously, I have my sister and our relationship, which we had worked so hard on and come so far with. That was what was the most upsetting. Having that play out with the cameras and having Brandi try to interfere and come between us and obviously in my sister’s ear, putting things in her mind- it’s really frustrating and it’s not just a TV show. This is our lives and this is my family.”

According to Richards, she and her sister’s relationship was doing great before filming began on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Season 5.

“The truth is up until that night we were great (Kim and me). I kept saying ‘it’s so fun, we can enjoy each other’s company again.’ We were laughing and being able to speak openly and everything was really good between the two of us. Ever since that night- you’ll see in the show and in this season- it really affected our relationship.”

As for why she believes her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star has acted the way she has, Richards claimed it is Glanville’s way of deflecting from her own struggles.

“I think she’s using my sister to look like she’s caring about her while she’s masking her own issues,” Richards explained.

“I think Brandi hopes her issues get lost by trying to look like she’s caring for Kim. She keeps trying to say that I wanted this to play out in front of the cameras to hurt my sister. She’s hurting my sister, me, and our relationship by saying that. I walked away- my sister followed me- into the bathroom. (In the bathroom) I was whispering and telling her, which you did not hear, to take off and cover her microphone to protect her. If I wanted to make a scene, I would have said something at the table. I walked away because I was uncomfortable and I didn’t want to have anything happen in front of the cameras.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Glanville opened up about her feud with Richards in a recent blog post on Bravo’s official website.

In the post, Glanville said the following.

“Kyle keeps saying that I do not know the history between them, but it’s now been five long years of history I’ve spent watching this sisterhood. More often than not, they’re not getting along. In Season 1 Kyle mortifies her sister by outing her dependency on national TV (I was watching). In Paris, Kyle is the first one to doubt her sister’s sobriety…once again for an audience. Her inability to keep this private matter, well, private is concerning.”
