Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s popular “Mean Tweets” segment reared its head on Monday night with another NSFW appearance of music stars like Katy Perry, Drake, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and more reading mean tweets about themselves.
Favorites include Lady Gaga noting that to one Twitter user, her fragrance “smell[ed] like d**k,” while Wiz Khalifa discovers that he apparently looks like a “homeless woman.” There was also Blake Shelton, who read about being an “inbred hick,” and Josh Groban had the unfortunate realization that someone would rather have human waste ladled into an ear than listen to one of his songs.
The cruel and unnecessary internet comments, while getting worse from there, were oddly hilarious as the musicians narrated the deprecating tweets of Twitter trolldom.
Other celebrities that Kimmel featured reading the online vitriol were Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Jessie J, Haim, Pitbull, Sia, Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, Jason Aldean, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Psy, and Ed Sheeran – who, it turns out, “is still ugly.”
The last time Jimmy Kimmel Live hosted a special music edition of his recurring sketch, Demi Lovato, Kid Rock, Big Sean, and more were seen reading and reacting to some of the cruelest insults Twitter users had crafted towards them in 140 characters or less.
