Ever since last week’s snowed in Monday Night Raw, everyone has been awaiting what Triple H’s big announcement and what it could possibly deal with in regards to WrestleMania 31. Well, it was made at the very beginning of Raw tonight, and it was a huge bombshell that will truly shake things up moving forward for WWE.
Tonight on Raw, Daniel Bryan will take on Seth Rollins for the right to take on Roman Reigns at Fast Lane. The winner of that match will then go on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 in the main event.
As Triple H headed out to the ring, the WWE roster watched on television screens in the back and anxiously awaited what Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would say. After speaking about last night’s Super Bowl and riling up the crowd while speaking of how happy they are that the New England Patriots won, they got onto it.

The ending of the Royal Rumble was shown, and the crowd sat silent. Triple H says that Kane and Big Show were unsportsmanlike, but his issue is with The Rock getting involved in the match. Triple H then mentions how he has called Sting out at Fast Lane later this month. Then, it’s back to Roman Reigns and whether or not he should face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, and that brought out the Royal Rumble winner.
Then out came Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins and the stipulations were set. After that, Big Show came out to take on Roman Reigns.
It’s been thought that WWE could change the WrestleMania 31 main event since the fans didn’t take kindly to Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble and being placed in the WWE Title match. Triple H said on SmackDown that the announcement would indeed “shake the WWE Universe to its core.”
Word got out a couple of days ago that even Dean Ambrose could be involved in Triple H’s big announcement, per E Wrestling News. This was after WWE posted an image on Instagram of the “Lunatic Fringe” insinuating that former partners in The Shield could end up featured together. Earlier on Monday, The Authority took to their brand new Twitter account to let the WWE Universe know that the announcement would come first thing on Raw.
WrestleZone reported that WWE was going to be fully prepared for this week’s Raw, and not let the snow get in the way. Vince McMahon and other top WWE officials left on Sunday morning to head to Denver, the site of Monday night’s show.
This was done so they could avoid the snowstorm hitting the east coast and make sure there were no delays in being at Raw. McMahon did not want the company to have what happened last week take place again.
With the giant announcement being made by Triple H, it very well could mean that Roman Reigns won’t main event the biggest event of the year. Either WWE is listening to the fans, or they’re just stringing them along for a couple more months.
