Captain Underpants Author Dav Pilkey to Release Two New Graphic Novels [Video]

Dav Pilkey, the author of the hit series “Captain Underpants,” is releasing two new graphic novels.

Scholastic Inc. will release “The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby” and “Super Diaper Baby 2,” at the end of January. The e-series will be available on iPads, Nooks, Kindle Fires and will include deleted scenes and material about how the books were made.

Describing the plot of “Super Diaper Baby 2,” Pilkey writes:

“Rip Van Tinkle started his career as an ordinary, everyday evil genius/inventor/bank robber. But when he awakens one morning to find himself transformed into a walking, talking puddle of pee-pee, he becomes determined to destroy every toilet in town. Will the terrifying Rip Van Tinkle and his smart-alecky cat Petey ruin restrooms for the rest of us? Or could this be a job for the amazing Super Diaper Baby?”

Pilkey is also working on two new “Captain Underpants” books. “Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers” will be released this August, and “Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers,” will be released at the start of 2013.
