‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Star Porsha Wiliams Claims Her Salary Didn’t Change After Demotion

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams was demoted after Season 6 of the show. However, luckily for Williams, her salary never changed.

In an interview with Brandi Glanville, of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, for her Podcast One series, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered, Williams opened up about Bravo’s decision to demote her from full-time housewife to part-time housewife.

According to a January 30 report by Wetpaint Entertainment, Williams revealed the following.

“They made the change towards the end of the season.”

While it was certainly disappointing for Williams to be downgraded, she didn’t have to suffer a loss of income because of it.

“I have the check, my check is the same. I don’t have the peach but I have the peach check.”

As the Inquisitr reported when The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 premiered, an executive producer claimed Williams’ demotion was a decision made by Andy Cohen.

In an interview with Perez Hilton, the producer revealed the following.

“Andy Cohen spoke about Porsha’s demotion and he specifically stated that it was a decision made from the network due to the lack of personal story info that Porsha was offering this season, but I can say that Porsha is all over this season as if she was a peach holder (housewife) so fans and #teamporsha should know they will see her read and throw shade like she always does!”

One month later, Williams spoke directly with Cohen on Watch What Happens Live about his decision to reduce her role. During the interview, as reported by Reality Tea, Williams claimed her secret boyfriend may have had something to do with it.

“What happened, I think … I was dating someone at the time, and of course, as part of the show when we sign up, it’s about showing who you date. He was playing football, and his coach told him that he didn’t want him to film until later in the season. So unfortunately, I had filmed and shown some of my personal life, had told the producers that I would show him, but I couldn’t show him until the very, very end and by then it was a little too late. They wanted a lot of the dating, and I totally get that because I’m coming from divorce, but I wanted them to film me performing ‘Flatline’ and my hair-line NAKED.”
