Lady Gaga For ‘Sharknado 3’? Tara Reid Sounds Off

Is Lady Gaga headed to Sharknado 3? If it was up to Tara Reid she would. Both SyFy original films have welcomed cameos by Andy Dick, Matt Lauer, Kelly Osbourne, Will Wheaton, and even The Naked Cowboy, so it isn’t really farfetched to pull Lady Gaga in for some shark tales.

The American Pie actress pitched the singer-sometimes-actress on Twitter ahead of filming for Sharknado 3. Apparently the production behind Sharknado 3 is having a hard time getting in touch with Lady Gaga’s people, so like a trooper, Reid decided to give the artist a shout out in hopes that it captures her interest.

“@ladygaga we really want you to be in #Sharknado3 but we are having a hard time getting in touch with your people please tell them [heart].”

As far as her acting resume goes, Lady Gaga has had roles in the 2013 film Machete Kills, and in the 2014 film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. It sounds like if Gaga keeps this up she can really make a little side career out of acting. The Sin City director, Robert Rodriguez, said he was “blown away” by her ability.

At the time he told E! News, “She’s a great performer. She’s performed twice for me now and I was blown away by her discipline. She studied acting before she became a singer and you could really tell.”

He continued, “She brought her own wigs! I said, ‘We’re not going to have time to make a wig for you.’ She showed up, we did the scene, she knocked it out of the park and then she was back on tour.”

Lady Gaga herself spoke about not limiting her art to just one thing. She told V magazine of her belief. “I thought about Pop Art and how the dominant subject matter was always the celebrity or the pop-culture icon on the canvas, and then I thought to myself, But what I have tried endlessly to become through my work is a celebration of my differences through art, with myself as the canvas, as opposed to me as the subject matter, being put on the canvas. I don’t want to be an icon in just one form. I want to be an icon in many forms. So that’s where it began.”

Do you think Lady Gaga would be up for a Sharknado 3 appearance or a bigger role? All signs point to yes. Now it’s just a matter of finding out if Gaga has the time.
