LeAnn Rimes’ Ex-Husband To Write Tell-All? Dean Shermet May Follow In Brandi Glanville’s Footsteps

LeAnn Rimes’ ex-husband, Dean Shermet, is reportedly planning to write a tell-all book about their relationship and split.

According to a January 28 report by In Touch Weekly, Shermet “has received multiple big-money offers from publishers and is deciding who to go with.”

LeAnn Rimes and Dean Shermet met in 2001 when he was working as a backup dancer. One year later, the couple were married. Then, in 2009, Rimes was caught having an affair with Eddie Cibrian, the husband of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Brandi Glanville. In September of that year, following the release of photos of the affair, Rimes and Shermet announced the end of their marriage.

Rimes and Cibrian’s relationship was highly publicized, and highly scrutinized, but their romance remained intact, and eventually led the pair down the aisle in April 2011.

Unfortunately, Rimes may soon be faced with the past once again.

“She treated Dean like garbage and privately never had any remorse.”

While the magazine’s source claimed Rimes was planning to do what she could to prevent Shermet from telling his story, it’s “unlikely” she’ll be able to convince him to stay silent.

“I’m sure she’ll try, but LeAnn has no control because she didn’t get Dean to sign a nondisclosure agreement after their split. She was so cheap, she didn’t offer him a penny. Dean said no way. She was nasty and really took advantage of him.”

Last year, following three years of marriage, LeAnn Rimes and her new husband, Cibrian, signed on to share their lives in a reality series on VH1. The series, titled LeAnn & Eddie, followed Rimes and Cibrian through their day-to-day life and family discussions.

At the time the show premiered in July 2014, Rimes explained why she chose reality TV in an interview with People Magazine.

“The biggest global misconception would be that we’re not two people who are really in love with each other, that there are ulterior motives to our relationship. But people just don’t get it. Hopefully people will get a chance to see how we just click.”

After just one season, as the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, the show was canceled.

Luckily, a career in reality TV isn’t all Rimes has going for her. According to report by In Touch Weekly on January 7, she and Cibrian are planning for a baby, and have begun seeing doctor Dr. Ingrid A. Rodi for fertility treatments.

“[LeAnn Rimes] hasn’t been able to conceive a baby on her own after trying for over a year. She feels like this is her only shot of having a child of her own. She really wants a baby.”
